Meet Our Team

 

â–¼   Hunter Adams, JD
Hunter Adams is the Acting Director of OCIC.  Hunter is a patent attorney with local intellectual property firm AdamsIP, specializing in intellectual property strategy and commercial development. Hunter serves as an advisory board member of the University of South Çàɬֱ²¥'s Melton Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and he is an Expert in Residence for the Innovation Portal incubator in Mobile, AL.
â–¼   Christopher Koczor, PhD, MBA
Christopher Koczor is the Associate Director of OCIC.  Christopher has extensive experience in intellectual property development, management, and commercialization.  Christopher provides contract review services, including MTAs, NDAs, and intellectual property rights in sponsored research agreements. He holds degrees in Chemical Engineering (BS) and Basic Medical Sciences (PhD).
â–¼   Morgan Umstead
Morgan Umstead is an Intellectual Property Assistant with OCIC.  Morgan studied English at the University of South Çàɬֱ²¥, where she also acted as an intern and grant proposal editor with the Office of Research & Economic Development.  She served as an intern preparing marketing materials and commercialization plans with OCIC before joining the team full time.
â–¼   Michael Chambers, JD, PhD
Dr. Michael Chambers serves as Chief Economic Development Officer of the University of South Çàɬֱ²¥ and Associate Vice President of Research & Economic Development.  He has experience in business development and commercialization, having served as an entrepreneur, Chairman of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce in 2014, board member of Innovate Çàɬֱ²¥, and principal investigator of USA's NSF-funded I-Corps entrepreneurship program.
