Description:
4-H summer camps provide an opportunity to experience new and exciting activities;
including climbing wall, archery, canoeing, and many others offered in a safe, supervised
environment where campers can explore new areas of interest with encouragement from
trained counselors and staff. Counselors lead, instruct, and supervise campers in
all areas of summer camp programming. The camp is run out of Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton,
SC directly on Lake Marion about an hour and half from Charleston, SC. You can look

Principal Duties:
鈥 Assist in teaching all components of the summer camp program including canoeing,
teams鈥 course, high ropes, climbing wall, recreation, arts and crafts, swimming, tubing,
paintball, and archery (training provided).
鈥 Lead campers in daily program classes and activities (wake-up, flagpole, meals,
campfire, and wrap-up).
鈥 Become actively involved in all program activities, leading and participating in
evening recreational and instructional times as scheduled.
鈥 Assist with routine cleanup.
鈥 Train in a specialty area to assist as needed with rental group responsibilities.
鈥 Set-up, maintain, and break down the site and program areas.
鈥 Perform direct supervision of children while involved in classes and activities.
鈥 Perform camp counselor duties including staying with and attending to campers over
night while they are at camp.
鈥 Perform duties that are required by Camp Leadership.
Qualifications:

Seeking two Quantitative Fisheries Research Associates at the University of Massachusetts
Dartmouth鈥檚 School for Marine Science & Technology in New Bedford, Massachusetts,
USA.
The research will focus on climate integrated modeling to inform fishery resource
decision making in a changing Northeast U.S. shelf ecosystem. The successful candidates
will work to support the , and . This will include statistical modeling and fisheries data science research, simulation

of climate forecasting products into fisheries management.

The USDA-ARS National Sedimentation Laboratory in Oxford, MS seeks an Interdisciplinary Scientist (Postdoctoral Research Associate) to study agroecological and economic impacts of a novel edible cover crop system in a food insecure region of the southeast USA. The scientist will participate in a plot study evaluating edible and non-edible cover crop varieties, in addition to ongoing field-scale research projects as part of the Lower Mississippi River Basin (LMRB) Long-term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) Network. The scientist will assist with collecting and analyzing several types of environmental, agronomic, and/or economic data to assess agroecosystem dynamics and conduct a tradeoff analysis. Modeling tools may be utilized to extrapolate or evaluate results and may be applied to broader regional studies as part of the LMRB LTAR project. Collaboration in community and producer focus groups is also possible in this project.
Research will primarily 1) improve understanding of management strategies to improve soil health, water quality, and agronomic outputs, 2) provide actionable guidance in cover crop management for Mississippi farmers, and 3) result in peer-reviewed manuscripts and presentations at local and national conferences.
The Research Associate is funded through USDA-ARS Headquarters Postdoctoral funding and therefore is required to be a US Citizen. A PhD is required; appropriate fields include Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Agronomy, Applied Economics, Ecology, Soil Science, or equivalent. Wildlife Biologist I, Waterfowl and Wetlands Ecology

DESCRIPTION: The James C. Kennedy Waterfowl and Wetlands Conservation Center at Clemson
University is recruiting a highly motivated Wildlife Biologist with an interest in
waterfowl and wetland ecology, management, and outreach in a research setting. The
ideal candidate should be familiar with wetlands and waterfowl issues, especially
in the southeast U.S. region. Responsibilities include assisting undergraduate and
graduate students and staff on a diversity of research projects, collecting field
and laboratory data, conducting literature reviews, maintaining vehicles, equipment,
and research instruments, data entry, and other duties necessary to maintain a functioning
center. The candidate will also contribute to research proposals and publications
in a highly dynamic, collaborative environment. This role involves working in various
outdoor environments, often in remote locations and requires a commitment to conserving
and managing wetland and wildlife habitats.
The position is initially budgeted for 1 year with the expectation that the position
will continue based on our success in obtaining external funding.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a strong interest in waterfowl and other
wetland wildlife (i.e., waterbirds, songbirds, turtles, alligators, anurans), macroinvertebrates,
wetland vegetation, and wetland management. Candidates must possess excellent wildlife
and vegetation identification skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in
one or more of the following areas: GIS, telemetry, duck banding, drone operation
and licensure, field surveys, modeling, and statistical analyses using R. The selected
candidate will be integral to the development of new projects, ensuring the continuity
of ongoing initiatives and publishing results. We are committed to providing ample

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. in wildlife ecology or related field. Previous experience
in wildlife research, fieldwork, or conservation projects. Proficiency in using field

independently and as part of a diverse team. A valid driver鈥檚 license and reliable

Partners for Environmental Progress (PEP) is seeking a part-time Project Coordinator to improve the water quality and fish habitat in the waters of coastal 青涩直播 by coordinating all facets of the Eagle Reef Project.
The position will be responsible for project coordination for the purposes of installing oyster 鈥渕ini鈥 reefs within the 青涩直播 coastal waters. The Project Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and work with the staff and Board of Directors to develop and execute aspects of the project, including communications, serving as liaison with the Science Committee and fundraising. Deploying 1000 Eagle Reefs will result in filtering up to 7.3 billion gallons of water annually and create habitats that result in thousands of fish and crabs per year in our coastal waters.
This is a part-time (15-20 hours per week) position. Students are encouraged to apply (preferably graduate students or Junior/Seniors). Most working hours will be between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will require occasional early morning, evening meetings and weekend work. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Excellent organization and communication skills are required. Marine or environmental science knowledge is beneficial, but not required.
